Gerry Colquhoun started working for Northern Pigment as a Sales Rep in 1977 and called on Wolfe Mueller, one of the first paving stone manufacturers in Canada and perhaps North America. His territory covered all of Canada. He did this until the use of color in concrete became too much for one person. Gerry then focused on the paving stone industry.He was directly involved in bringing Canadian producers into CPI, which eventually became ICPI. He has served on the D&B (dues and bylaws), Marketing and Expo Committee (which he also Chaired) and has been a part of the ICPI Board of Directors from the beginning.
He was part of PPCLI, 2nd Batallion (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry). They are the most elite regiment in Canada focus on extreme training and high discipline.
